Despite my intention of posting The Little Things every week, as predicted, time escaped me and two weeks have passed (to-do: learn how to plan and schedule blog posts). I’ve got lots of little things to be thankful for (including my new app, AnyList, which I use to keep track of them all), but here are a few that top my list this week.
- Last weekend with Joel. He works crazy long hours during the week and by the time he gets home in the evening, we’re both zombies. Like most people, our weekdays look like this: work, eat, sleep, repeat, so I’m super grateful for the weekends, when, after all of the chores are done (or not), we get to spend time together. Last weekend
wehe put up Christmas lights, we checked out a super cool antique store in Mission and went for a quad ride behind the house.
- My Christmas Cactus in bloom. My mom gave me this cactus 6 or 7 years ago and after 3 moves, including one across the country, it’s still alive. Something about seeing its pretty pink blooms every November makes me happy.
- Matter Company Outdoor Hand Cream. Yes, hand cream. The company is Canadian, it moisturizes without leaving behind a weird oil slick, it smells amazing (thanks to bergamot, grapefruit, Canadian pine and cedar leaf essential oils) and almost everything in it is organic.
